The study of research methodology gives the student the necessary training in gathering material and arranging or card-indexing them, participation in field work when required, training in techniques for data collection appropriate to particular problems, use of statistics, questionnaires, controlled experimentation, recording evidence, sorting it out, and interpreting it.

PROGRAM OUTLINE

The institute collaborates with industries through the Institute–Industry Research Initiative. Participants interact with industry managers to identify research areas through brainstorming sessions. The program is designed in phases.

  • Phase 1: 6 months of research methodology training and publication in journals.
  • Phase 2: 6 months of industry-based compulsory courses and best practices.
  • Phase 3: 3 months of industry assignment on identified research areas.
  • Phase 4: 3 months of final presentation and report submission.
